Metta Meditation: The Art & Practice of Loving Kindness

The metta meditation is a 2,500 year-old Buddhist practice fostering love and compassion for others.  At the heart of the meditation is metta, which is a Pali word meaning benevolence, friendliness, and amity which appears in Buddhist texts as an important concept and practice.[1]

But today, metta meditation, or loving-kindness meditation, transcends the bounds of any particular religion.  And metta meditation is a practice that anyone and everyone can benefit from.
